Paul Thompson
Paul Thompson, Varsity Football Coach, is entering his third season as Head Coach and his eleventh season as a coach at Dulaney High School.
Coach Thompson’s coaching philosophy stresses the importance of class, integrity and academic success. He has a passion for bringing people together while building the total program. Thompson believes in creating an environment that allows his players to thrive. He holds a deep commitment to developing the young men in his program and investing in them both on and off the field as they prepare for their next steps in life.
Thompson and his staff believe in developing players athletically, academically, socially, and spiritually so that they leave the program as better young men. Beyond winning football games, he believes his team is about building a culture within the program that is contagious and produces a team that is willing to play for each other and love one another.
A 2002 graduate of Howard High School, in Ellicott City, Maryland, Coach Thompson was four-year lettermen in football receiving many awards and accomplishments. Thompson also excelled at basketball and lacrosse during his high school career.
After high school, Coach Thompson attended Stillman College to play football before transferring to Morgan State University to continue his education and earned a degree in Psychology.
Thompson and his wife, Sara, have been married for 9 years and reside in Arnold, Maryland.
